В большинстве контекстов говорящий хочет сказать, что ему комфортно и удобно.Некоторые лингвисты считают новое выражение ненужным и не очень грамотным просторечием: зачем так говорить, если ту же мысль можно выразить хорошо знакомой нам фразой "I am fine”!? Однако дело в том, что выражение "I am good” имеет и дополнительный оттенок значения. Говоря так, человек хочет подчеркнуть, что он не нуждается в посторонней помощи, излишнем беспокойстве и внимании. Фраза употребляется преимущественно в первом лице, хотя можно представить себе и ситуации, когда она может быть построена с тем же смыслом также во втором или третьем лице. (Д.
